David Crouse - Crouse Entertainment Group

David CrouseDavid Crouse is an Emmy Award winning independent film producer.  Before Crouse became an independent producer, he worked in every capacity of broadcasting from on-air, to advertising, sales and promotion, and management.  In 1989 Crouse formed Crouse Entertainment Group to capitalize on the explosive growth in media.  The company’s original productions focus on religion, politics, biography, and the environment. Crouse, along with his long time producing partner Chip Duncan, has the distinction of being the first producers ever granted interviews with five former U. S. Presidents for a single documentary Positive Thinking: The Norman Vincent Peale Story (Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush). 

 

Crouse is co-founder and President of the C. S. Lewis Festival that takes place each November in Northern Michigan (www.cslewisfestival.org). He is past board president of the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council (www.watershedcouncil.org); past board member of Northern Michigan Regional Hospital Foundation (www.northernhealth.org); Vice President of the Board of the Museum of Broadcast Communications (www.museum.tv); and The Olive Branch Mission (www.obmission.org). He is recipient of the Significant Sig Award in 2009. This award, presented by Sigma Chi, is in recognition of professional achievements that bring prestige to the Fraternity.

Photography is also passion of David’s and he and his wife, Teresa, have been the principal underwriters of three major photographic art exhibits in Michigan including 20th Century Photography Masters; Beatles!  Back Stage and Behind the Scenes; and Bobby Kennedy:  The Last Campaign.  David also fulfilled a life-long ambition of conducting an orchestra by serving as guest conductor recently of the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra.
